Lesson Bookings
- A non-refundable £25 deposit is required to secure and confirm all lesson bookings.
- The remaining lesson balance must be paid at least 48 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
- Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Any lesson cancelled, rescheduled, or missed within 48 hours of the scheduled lesson time will be charged at the full lesson fee.
- Lessons cancelled with more than 48 hours' notice may be rescheduled, subject to availability.
Late Arrivals & No-Shows
- Students must be ready at the agreed pick-up location and time.
- If a student is more than 15 minutes late without prior communication, the lesson will be treated as a no-show and cancelled.
- In the event of a no-show, the full lesson fee will remain payable, and no refund or replacement lesson will be provided.
Block Bookings
- All block bookings and lesson packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Hours purchased as part of a block booking must be used within one month of the purchase date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Any unused hours remaining after the validity period expires will be forfeited and are not eligible for a refund, credit, or extension.
- Block booking discounts are offered on the basis that lessons are purchased as a package; therefore, individual unused lessons cannot be refunded.
Conduct, Safety & Termination of Lessons
- Students are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner towards instructors and other road users at all times.
- Drive Ready maintains a zero-tolerance approach to abusive, threatening, aggressive, discriminatory, intimidating, or inappropriate behaviour.
- If an instructor considers a student's behaviour, attitude, or conduct to be unacceptable, or if a student repeatedly ignores instructions and creates a safety risk, Drive Ready reserves the right to terminate the lesson immediately.
- Drive Ready also reserves the right to terminate a lesson where a student's driving is deemed dangerously reckless or where continuing the lesson would pose a risk to the student, instructor, vehicle, or other road users.
- In such circumstances, no refund, credit, or replacement lesson will be provided for the terminated lesson.
- Any remaining prepaid lesson hours or block booking hours may be cancelled and refunded at the sole discretion of Drive Ready, taking into account the circumstances surrounding the termination.
Driving Test Vehicle Hire
- Use of a Drive Ready vehicle for a practical driving test is subject to instructor approval.
- Drive Ready reserves the right to refuse vehicle hire if, in the instructor's professional opinion, the student is not test-ready, is driving unsafely, or may pose a risk to themselves, the vehicle, the examiner, or other road users.
- Students who are not currently training with Drive Ready and wish to hire a vehicle for their driving test must first complete a mock test and assessment lesson.
- Vehicle hire will only be approved if the student is assessed as being at a safe and suitable standard for the practical test.
- Completion of a mock test does not guarantee vehicle hire. The final decision remains at the discretion of Drive Ready.
By booking lessons, purchasing a lesson package, or hiring a vehicle through Drive Ready, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this policy and its terms and conditions.
